Classic Kyoto restaurant specializing in tofu hotpot. Set menu of tofu dishes on the pathway to Nanzen-ji and other temples in the Eastern Mountain district. Western and Japanese dining with lovely gardens. Always a wait. Junsei is an alternate choice when the more famous Okutan, just up the hill, is filled. Prices and ambience high. No reservations. Fun.

There is a charge nearby. It was free because I went by rental bike.

We went by a bureaucrat. It was 5000 yen course and I got totally honest with tofu

I think basically not.

The ordinary tofu set is about 3000 yen, and it is about 6000 yen if it is a boiled tofu kaiseki. However, we remember that we could only select higher courses when reserving a seat by phone.
